From November 11 to 15-16

Crossing the Moroccan desert, from North to South, along the eastern side of the country near the border with Algeria to the dunes of Erg Chebbi, is one of the motorcycle journeys that has impressed me the most. Anyone who has already been to Morocco, and has not made this journey, will discover another side of the country and other sensations. If otherwise you have not yet visited the Alawite kingdom, this will undoubtedly be a good start.

It was the beginning of my trip through West Africa, a section chosen to test all the new Red Zebra (BMW R1200 GS Adventure) equipment and camping equipment.

Camping in the desert

Making this journey and not spending the night in your tent, under the stars and moon of the desert, is not a complete experience. We will buy food on the way and cook it at night with a good fire. There will be no shortage of hot tea and we will surely enjoy good conversations and anecdotes.

Accommodation

Four years living in the Moroccan Sahara have allowed me, among other things, to learn how the hostels and hotels in the area work. The most important thing, for me, is that the accommodations have warmth, maintain tradition and have quality. In short, special places that, due to their location, service, facilities and food, are worth knowing.

Meeting point

The meeting place for all participants will be at the Paris café in Nador at 9 a.m., next to the border. It is a great location to get to know each other and do the briefing while we have breakfast.

You can check some recommended schedules for traveling by ferry to/from Morocco at this link.
